Additional Coverage - How Does it Work?
Additional coverages in insurance plans can be added or removed based on your needs. These differ according to the insurer. Our major goal is to tailor your insurance coverage so that you receive the protection you believe you need while staying within your financial means. Avoid paying for coverage that is unnecessary.
Contracts for additional coverages are made to enhance and customize the policy. Sometimes they are already included in the policy's fundamental protections and cannot be removed.
Although not all insurers provide these, you may discover some of them here:
International Emergency: If you require urgent hospitalization while traveling. Although some people may labor for direct remuneration, costs are typically covered.
Elimination of the deductible in case of Accident: saving you money because you won't have to pay it.
Dental coverage: May cover routine procedures like teeth cleanings and molar or tooth fillings, as well as additional, potentially prolonged treatments.
Maternity: will include a predetermined sum that will cover the outcome for childbirth or cesarean section. This sum could be increased for a fee depending on the insurance.
National Coverage: To provide coverage for you everywhere, not just where you live. This is true for insurance companies that, barring emergencies, penalize treatment received in a region other than the one with whom they have a contract.
Pre-existing illnesses that have been declared: Having a past sickness can be covered again, but only if it is previously fully recovered, not dangerous or degenerative, stated, covered, and approved by the insurer.
Complications of Non-Covered Conditions: Although cosmetic or dental surgery is not covered by insurance, the policy may provide coverage for the complication at the time of an intervention.
Funeral Services: to cover the service of transfers, body arranging, wake, cremation, and other associated difficulties when the insured dies.
Serious Illnesses Overseas: Certain illnesses, such as neurological disorders, heart surgery, cancer, poly trauma, chronic renal insufficiency, and others, can be covered under the same conditions abroad.
International Coverage: To make your coverage effective globally, you must contract the deductible and coinsurance on an international basis. Some are reimbursed, while others may give direct payment in hospitals under arrangement.
Accidental Death or Hospitalization Indemnity: In the case of the covered risk (accidental death, limb loss, or hospitalization), the contractual sum insured is paid as an indemnity, irrespective of the policy's standard coverage.
Indemnity for Cancer or other illnesses: A predetermined sum of money is paid out following the diagnosis of certain illnesses. It is distinct from the policy's basic coverage.
